About Lieutenant Dalton L. Price

A native and current resident of Paterson N.J. Dalton began his Law Enforcement career with the Paterson Police on August 1, 1994. Dalton graduated from the Paterson Police Academy on December 2, 1994 and received the Merit Award from his classmates.

Dalton has been member of numerous divisions within the Police department including Patrol, Emergency Response Team, Emergency Services Unit, Gang Suppression Unit and the Street Gang Unit. Dalton has supervised The Operation Impact Unit, Anti-Crime Unit and also headed the Gang Intelligence Unit. Dalton has also been assigned as a Task Force Officer to the Passaic County Prosecutors Office and the New Jersey State Police Street Gang Unit. On March 6, 2005 Dalton was promoted to the rank of Police Sergeant. On December 12,2016 Dalton Price was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and now serves in the Office of Professional Standards.

 

Education
Alumni of  Fairlegh Dickenson University with a Bachelors Degree in Individual Studies in May of 2015 with a 3.7 GPA and recently completed the Masters Program at Fairleigh Dickenson University with a Masters Degree in Administrative Science with a GPA of 3.8. Dalton is also Certified Academy Instructor for the State of New Jersey and has lectured throughout the state regarding Gang Awareness and Interventions as well as “Surviving Police Confrontations.”
Accomplishment
  • Dalton has been recognized by the Paterson Board of Education, City of Paterson ” Unsung Hero” Award, N.A.A.C.P. “Law Enforcement” Award, the New Jersey General Assembly, the Special Service Award from PSE&G and Senator John Gerginti, for his service and dedication to community service. Dalton has testified before the New Jersey Senate regarding the dangers of Gang Activity and Recruitment and the negative affects that they can have on a community
  • Dalton is the first and current President of the Bronze Shields of Passaic County, an African American Law Enforcement Association, the 1st Vice President of the Paterson Chapter of the NAACP, the Vice President of the Greater New Jersey Chapter of the National Black Police Association and the former Sgt @ Arms for N.O.B.L.E. (the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Executives), Dalton is also a member of N.O.B.W.L.E. (National Organization of Black Women in Law Enforcement)

  • Dalton continues to serve the Paterson Police and the community at large. Daltons community services extends as a Past Master of Integrity Lodge #51 Free and Accepted Masons, Prince Hall Affiliated, Fidelity Chapter #16 Order of the Eastern Stars and Golconda Temple #24
  • On Monday February 1st 2016 Dalton was the co-recipient of the “Off. Tyron Franklin Award“. It was the first Honor of its kind to be bestowed upon anyone in the history of the City of Paterson.
  • On December 12, 2016 Dalton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and now serves on the capacity in the Office of Professional Standards /Internal Affairs Division.
